Beginning April 1, 2007, Pedro Mendes will take up a position as Chair of Computational Systems Biology at the School of Computer Science, University of Manchester, and will carry out his research at the Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre (MIB).
Mendes will, however, continue his work at VBI through a 20% joint appointment. This will allow for the research group located at VBI to continue its activities. In particular the COPASI project will continue based in Blacksburg, the same with DOME. In Manchester we will start with a focus on biochemical systems identification and parameter estimation.
Our Biochemical Networks Modeling Group will now be based in two separate locations: Manchester and Blacksburg (see them here!).
