Vol. 22 of the journal Bioinformatics contains an article entitled "COPASI - a COmplex PAthway SImulator" by Stefphan Hoops, Sven Sahle and co-authors. This paper signals the publication of the biochemical modeling and simulation software COPASI, created as a collaboration between our group and Ursula Kummer's group at the EML Research (Heidelberg). COPASI is freely available for non-profit research and a reasonably priced commercial version will appear soon.

The manuscript describes the software and some of its features, such as a hybrid stochastic-deterministic integrator, parameter estimation, and Lyapunov exponent calculation.
